William D. LaFortune became Of Counsel to the Firm in 2006 after distinguished service as the Mayor of the City of Tulsa, Tulsa County District Attorney and Tulsa County District Court Special Judge. Mr. LaFortune received a B.A. from the University of California at Santa Barbara and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1983. Mr. LaFortune is a Masters Emeritus of the American Inns of Court (Council Oak Chapter, 1993- present), and a member of the Tulsa County, Oklahoma and American Bar Associations.

Mr. LaFortune has also served as Assistant Attorney General, State of Oklahoma, 1987-1988 and 1990-1993, Assistant District Attorney, Tulsa County, State of Oklahoma, 1988-1990, Special District Judge, State of Oklahoma, 1993-1995, District Attorney, Tulsa County, Oklahoma, 1995-1998, and presently serves as an Administrative Law Judge with the Oklahoma Department of Labor.

Mr. LaFortune’s area of practice focuses on zoning, real estate law, civil litigation and transactions.
